Harry Kane wrote himself into Bundesliga history on Friday night, becoming the fastest player to reach 100 goals in the competition as Bayern Munich produced a dominant 7-0 victory over Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena.

The England striker reached the milestone in just his 98th Bundesliga appearance, breaking the previous record of 129 games held by former Cologne striker Dieter Müller. Kane then added another goal after half-time as Bayern completed a convincing win in front of a 75,000-strong crowd.

The victory also continued Bayern’s strong start to the 2026/27 Bundesliga campaign, while Michael Olise celebrated a memorable evening of his own with his first hat-trick for the club.

    Kane Makes Bundesliga History

Kane had entered the match needing just one goal to reach 100 Bundesliga goals. He did not have to wait long.

After Michael Olise was brought down inside the Union Berlin penalty area, Bayern were awarded a penalty in the 39th minute. Kane stepped up and calmly sent the ball past Frederik Rønnow to bring up his 100th Bundesliga goal.

The strike came in Kane’s 98th league appearance for Bayern, making him the fastest player in Bundesliga history to reach the century mark. Dieter Müller previously held the record after scoring 100 goals in 129 appearances for Cologne.

Kane’s achievement is particularly notable because he only joined Bayern in 2023. His scoring rate in Germany has been remarkable from the beginning, and this latest milestone adds another record to his already impressive Bayern career.

Kane Adds a 101st Bundesliga Goal

Reaching 100 goals was not enough for Kane.

Just nine minutes after half-time, the striker doubled his personal tally for the night. Olise delivered a precise cross into the area, and Kane met it with a close-range header to make it 4-0.

That goal took Kane to 101 Bundesliga goals and gave Bayern complete control of the match.

His two goals also added to an extraordinary scoring record since his arrival in Munich. Bundesliga’s official statistics listed Kane with 151 goals in 154 Bayern appearances before this match, meaning his double against Union took his Bayern total to 153 goals in 155 appearances.

    Musiala Opens the Scoring

Bayern started the match aggressively and eventually broke the deadlock in the 18th minute.

Alphonso Davies created the opportunity for Jamal Musiala, who produced a superb finish from distance to put Bayern 1-0 ahead.

The goal settled any early nerves and gave Bayern even more control of the game. Union struggled to cope with Bayern’s movement and attacking quality as the home side continued to create chances.

Kane’s penalty followed in the 39th minute before Olise added another goal just before the interval.

    Olise Joins the Party

Michael Olise was one of Bayern’s standout performers and completed a hat-trick during the second half.

His first goal came in the 43rd minute when Musiala laid the ball off for the French winger, who curled a left-footed effort into the top-right corner.

Olise then scored again in the 73rd minute after receiving a clever pass from Tom Bischof. He rounded Union goalkeeper Frederik Rønnow before finishing via the inside of the post.

Three minutes later, Olise completed his hat-trick with another excellent left-footed strike into the top corner.

The three goals gave Olise his first Bayern hat-trick and capped an outstanding individual performance.

Saibari Scores His First Bayern Goal

Bayern’s fifth goal arrived in the 70th minute through summer signing Ismael Saibari.

The midfielder showed good individual skill to work his way through the Union defence before beating Rønnow and finding the net.

It was Saibari’s first goal for Bayern and added another positive moment to an already memorable evening for the home side.

With goals from Musiala, Kane, Olise and Saibari, Bayern eventually finished the match with seven goals and a clean sheet.

    Bayern’s Oktoberfest Celebration

The victory came just hours before the start of the 191st Oktoberfest, and Bayern marked the occasion by wearing their special Oktoberfest-themed kits.

The atmosphere inside the Allianz Arena reflected the occasion as Bayern dominated from the opening stages.

The club’s official match report described the performance as a convincing 7-0 victory, with Bayern leading 3-0 at half-time before adding four more goals after the break.

    Kane’s Remarkable Bundesliga Record

Kane’s latest milestone adds to a growing list of records he has established since moving to Germany.

Reaching 100 Bundesliga goals in 98 matches means he needed 31 fewer appearances than Dieter Müller, who previously held the record with 129 games.

The pace of Kane’s scoring has been extraordinary. Before the Union Berlin match, Bundesliga reported that he had averaged a goal every 78.5 minutes in the competition since joining Bayern in 2023.

That consistency has helped Kane win the Bundesliga’s top-scorer award in each of his first three seasons in Germany.

A Strong Start to the 2026/27 Season

The Union Berlin victory continued Bayern’s impressive beginning to the new Bundesliga campaign.

Bayern controlled the match from the first whistle and rarely allowed Union to build sustained pressure. The visitors were unable to contain Bayern’s attacking players, while Manuel Neuer and the Bayern defence kept a clean sheet.

The final scoreline reflected Bayern’s dominance, with Musiala scoring once, Kane twice, Saibari once and Olise completing his hat-trick.

For Kane, however, the biggest moment of the night was undoubtedly reaching 100 Bundesliga goals.

What Comes Next for Harry Kane?

Kane’s record-breaking night gives him another major milestone to celebrate as he continues his Bayern career.

The striker has already established himself as one of the most prolific scorers in Bundesliga history, and his latest achievement came remarkably quickly after his arrival in Germany.

Bayern will now turn their attention to their next Bundesliga fixture, while Kane will look to continue adding to his goal tally when domestic action resumes.

For now, though, the spotlight belongs to Kane.

One hundred Bundesliga goals in 98 appearances, followed by a 101st goal on the same night, is another extraordinary chapter in the England captain’s career.

And with Bayern winning 7-0 against Union Berlin, it was a night that delivered both a historic individual achievement and a commanding team performance.
