    Sharon Mae Disney was born in Los Angeles, California, on December 18, 1934. She was the daughter of Walt Disney and his wife, Lillian. Sharon was the third of four children; she had two brothers and one sister. Sharon was very close to her father and often helped him with his work. After her father died in 1966, Sharon worked to keep his legacy alive. She helped create the Walt Disney Company and was president from 1984 to 1994. Sharon Mae Disney died on October 16, 1997.

    Walt Disney was very busy, and Sharon did not see much of her father when she was growing up. However, she always remembered him as a kind and gentle man. Sharon once said, “My dad was a workaholic, but he was also a great father. He was always there for us when we needed him.”

    Sharon Mae Disney passed away on February 16, 1993, at 59. Her husband, Robert Brown, and their two children, Christopher and Patrick, survived her.

    The Sharon Mae Disney was the daughter of Walt Disney, the co-founder of The Walt Disney Company. Sharon was born in Los Angeles, California, on December 21, 1933. Sharon’s father died when she was three years old, so she and her sister, Diane, were raised by their mother, Lillian. Sharon studied English and drama at the University of Southern California. After graduation, she worked as an actress and a writer. She also worked as a producer for Walt Disney Productions. Sharon married Ronald Miller in 1954, and the couple had three children together. The Sharon and Ronald divorced in 1993. Sharon died on February 9, 2013, at the age of 79.

    In the early 1970s, Sharon and her family moved to London, where her husband worked for the Walt Disney Company. Sharon became involved with the London office of the Disney Company and eventually became the Vice President of International Marketing for Walt Disney Productions.

    Sharon was instrumental in developing the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. She was also involved in creating the Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan.

    Sharon retired from the Disney Company in 1993. She and her husband then returned to the United States and settled in Colorado.

    Sharon Mae Disney was a talented and dedicated Walt Disney Company employee. She contributed significantly to the company and was a key player in developing Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Tokyo Disney Resort. Sharon was a loving wife and mother and will be fondly remembered by everyone who knew her.

    Sharon Mae Disney is a member of the Walt Disney Family Foundation and the Walt Disney Family Museum. She is also a trustee of the California Institute of the Arts.

    Sharon Mae Disney is the author of two books, The Story of Walt Disney: The Animated Man and Walt Disney: An American Original.
