After months of beta testing, Samsung has finally pushed the stable release of One UI 9, built on Android 17, out to the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. As is usually the case with Samsung rollouts, South Korea got first dibs, with users there seeing the update land as a roughly 650MB over-the-air download. Other markets are getting it in waves from here, so availability will depend on where you are and which carrier you’re on.

    What’s Actually New

The headline feature Samsung is pushing hardest is My FanCam, which the company’s been showcasing as one of the signature additions in this release. Alongside that, the Now Brief feature has picked up generative AI support — you can now create and edit your own cards within it rather than relying purely on pre-built layouts, which gives it a noticeably more personal feel.

Now Nudge got a round of streamlining too. Samsung says the feature now takes fewer steps to use, which should make it less annoying for anyone who found the previous version a bit clunky.

Beyond the flashier stuff, there’s a decent list of smaller improvements: Creative Studio, Interpreter, Document Scan, and Voice Recorder have all reportedly gotten better with this update. Samsung also rolled in the new Warranty and Care settings menu, which had actually been detailed back in August ahead of this release — so it’s not a surprise, but it’s now live for everyone getting the update.

What This Means If You Own an S26

If you’re on a Galaxy S26, S26+, or S26 Ultra, keep an eye on your software update settings over the coming days or weeks — rollouts like this rarely hit every region simultaneously, so patience is part of the process if you’re not in one of the first markets. Given the file size, it’s a fairly light update to download compared to a full OS overhaul, which tracks with this being a refinement release rather than a ground-up redesign.

    Current Pricing Snapshot

For anyone weighing whether to pick up a Galaxy S26 device around this update:

    Galaxy S26

    • 256GB / 12GB RAM — $633 / €699
    • 512GB / 12GB RAM — roughly $710 / €773

    Galaxy S26+

    • 256GB / 12GB RAM — roughly $750 / €750
    • 512GB / 12GB RAM — roughly $971 / €987

    Galaxy S26 Ultra

    • 256GB / 12GB RAM — $1,099 / €929
    • 512GB / 12GB RAM — roughly $1,070 / €1,049

Prices reflect current deal pricing rather than list price, so they’re worth double-checking before you buy since deal pricing tends to shift.
