    What happens after the competition is over?

    After the competition is over, the National School Prince or Princess is crowned. The winner receives a plaque and a trophy. They also receive some money, depending on their rank.

    The national school prince is a girl, and in this video I’m going to share with you the top 5 reasons why this is so. First of all, it’s 2018. We need to start embracing diversity in all forms, not just politically but also within our society as a whole. This includes acknowledging that girls can be princes and boys can be princesses – it’s time for change! Secondly, there are already plenty of role models out there for girls – female celebrities, athletes, businesswomen etc. Why should we make an exception for the national school prince? And finally, let’s face it: kids love surprises and they will love finding out that the national school prince is a girl.
