Arriving in Seoul

If you’re visiting Seoul for the first time, you’ll want to know about the various ways to get there. The city is served by two international airports – Incheon and Gimpo – as well as numerous domestic airports.

Incheon Airport is located about 25 miles southeast of Seoul and serves many international destinations, such as London, Amsterdam, Paris, and Tokyo. There are frequent direct flights from many U.S. cities, including New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Gimpo Airport is located about 30 miles southwest of Seoul and serves domestic destinations in South Korea and Japan. It also has connections to other Asian countries.

If you’re flying into Incheon Airport, you can take a shuttle bus or a taxi to downtown Seoul. Buses depart every 10 minutes from the airport’s arrival hall (1F), while taxis cost around $60 per person flat rate to anywhere in downtown Seoul. If you’re arriving at Gimpo Airport, take a shuttle bus or taxi to Dongkuk University Station (5 min walk), where there are frequent trains that will take you directly to downtown Seoul.

Getting Along with Other Students

In any classroom, there will always be that one student who can’t seem to get along with anyone else. Whether it’s because they have a personality clash or just don’t get along, this can make classes quite difficult. So, if you find yourself in this situation, here are some tips on how to get along with other students:

  1. Make an effort to get to know them. Trying to befriend them may seem like a daunting task at first, but it’s important that you take the time to get to know them better. Not only will this make the class more enjoyable for everyone involved, but you may even discover new talents or interests that could lead to collaborations down the line.
  2. Avoid confrontations if possible. Confrontations can often lead to negative feelings and further clashes between classmates. Instead, try and solve problems diplomatically by talking about what happened and coming up with a solution together. This way everyone feels like they have been listened to and their concerns were taken into account.
  3. Be mindful of their feelings too! It may be easy for us as adults to brush off someone’s feelings, but when we do this it often results in conflict later on down the line. Always remember that someone else’s feelings matter and try your best not to hurt their feelings unintentionally.
  4. Don’t take everything personally! Just because someone doesn’t like you does

Eating on Campus

One of the great things about studying on campus is that you can eat whatever you want! Here are some of our favorite spots to get food around campus:

  1. Starbucks: Starbucks is always a good place to go for a quick cup of coffee, but they also have a variety of snacks and drinks if you need something more substantial.
  2. Chipotle: Chipotle is one of our favorite places to go for Mexican food. They have really good tacos and burritos, and the prices are really reasonable.
  3. Panda Express: Panda Express is another great option for Chinese food. They have really good Kung Pao chicken, and the prices are pretty reasonable too.
  4. SUBWAY: If you’re in the mood for Subway, there’s always a SUBWAY right near campus! The prices are very affordable, and their sandwiches are always delicious.
