    Adam Kinzinger is the Representative of Illinois’s 16th congressional district and a Republican. He has been outspoken about his stance on government anti-poverty efforts, while also supporting them in his own district.

    What is a House Republican?

    House Republicans are members of the United States House of Representatives, who represent constituencies within each state. Generally, they are from the conservative wing of the party and take a stance on fiscal and social issues that differ from that of Senate Republicans.

    Adam Kinzinger is a representative from Illinois and one of the few House Republicans to take on anti-poverty efforts. Kinzinger was born in Naperville, Illinois, and grew up in Aurora, Illinois. He is married to Melissa and has two young children. Kinzinger attended Northern Illinois University and earned his law degree from Loyola Law School in Chicago. After graduation, he worked as an associate attorney at a law firm in Chicago before being elected to the Illinois State Assembly in 2006. He was reelected to the State Assembly in 2010 and 2012. In 2014, Kinzinger was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives by defeating incumbent Democrat Brad Schneider in a close race.

    Adam Kinzinger is a House Republican who has been outspoken in his efforts to combat poverty in the United States. Kinzinger, who was born and raised in Illinois, has experienced poverty firsthand. After his family lost their home in the 2008 recession, Kinzinger found himself struggling with financial insecurity. Kinzinger began working on ways to combat poverty as a member of the House Committee on Ways and Means. He has also been a proponent of tax breaks for businesses that invest in poverty-reducing initiatives, and he is currently leading an effort to reform the nation’s food stamp program. Kinzinger’s efforts to combat poverty have won him support from some of the nation’s top conservatives, including House Speaker Paul Ryan.

    Adam Kinzinger is a Republican representative from Illinois who takes on anti-poverty efforts in his congressional district. Kinzinger has authored and co-sponsored legislation to improve job training and development programs, increase funding for Pell Grants, and reduce federal debt. Kinzinger also serves on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce.

    Adam Kinzinger was born in Chicago to parents who were both doctors. He attended the United States Naval Academy and graduated with his commission as a lieutenant in 2002. After serving in the Marines for four years, Kinzinger served two terms as an Illinois state representative. In 2010, he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and is currently serving his third term. Kinzinger is a Republican and has been involved in many anti-poverty initiatives while in Congress. Recently, he co-founded the No Labels Problem Solver Caucus, which brings together members of both parties to find bipartisan solutions to common problems.
