
The trend in the dissolution of companies in Spain has undergone a significant change last September. In total, a growth of 43% is perceived. In addition, it is notable that the increase is much smoother in the creation of new companies, with 12%. According to the Iberinform report, the previous month there were 2,136 dissolutions and 6,028 constitutions in total.
For the year as a whole, due to the hibernation of the Spanish economy for several months in the first semester, dissolutions show a decrease of 15%. Madrid (26% of all cases) and Catalonia (another 21%) are the Autonomous Communities where the most dissolutions are declared. They are followed by Andalusia (11%) and the Valencian Community (11%). By sectors, dissolutions of companies dedicated to Services (44% of the total) predominate, followed by Construction companies (21%) and Industry (8%).
Regarding the companies created, in the year as a whole there was a reduction of 21%. The most significant number of constitutions was registered in Madrid (23% of all cases), followed by Catalonia (19%) and Andalusia (17%). Regarding the activity sector of the companies established, Services accounts for 51% of the total followed by Construction (25%) and Industry (6%).
