It’s time for you to find out about secret societies! One of the most fascinating ones is the Skull and Crossbones Fraternity for short, also known as “The Bones.” Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars have been a member of this exclusive club. Here are five notable individuals from history who have been part of this elite group, from writers to actors. Buckle up and enjoy a fascinating journey!

Skull and Crossbones Fraternity for short: Belushi, John

During his time at Dartmouth College in the 1970s, Belushi was initiated into the Skull and Crossbones Fraternity for Short, a fraternity known for its outrageous antics.

With memorable characters like Samurai Futaba and Bluto from Animal House, Belushi’s career took off in the late 70s when he joined Saturday Night Live.

Despite his tragic end, Belushi is remembered as one of the greatest comedians of all time.

Many have speculated about what happens within The Bones because of his membership in them. While we may never know exactly what happened behind those closed doors, it’s clear that John Belushi left an indelible mark on both comedy and secret societies.

Skull and Crossbones Fraternity for short: Thompson, Hunter S.

During his time at Louisville Male High School in Kentucky, Hunter S. Thompson was a member of the Skull and Crossbones Fraternity for Short. A unique combination of factual reporting and subjective storytelling distinguishes his writing style, “Gonzo journalism.”

The book Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas chronicles Thompson’s drug-fueled journey through Las Vegas with his attorney, which has been adapted into a movie starring Johnny Depp.

Besides his literary achievements, Thompson was also known for his eccentric personality and political activism. He ran for sheriff of Pitkin County in Colorado on the Freak Power ticket, advocating liberal policies such as decriminalizing drugs.

In 2005, Thompson tragically took his own life at the age of 67. However, he remains one of America’s most significant literary icons and an influential cultural figure who challenged conventional norms.

Skull and Crossbones Fraternity for short: Dylan, Bob

In 1959, while studying art at the University of Minnesota, Dylan was initiated into the Skull and Crossbones Fraternity for Short.

Dylan participated in various secret rituals and activities as a member of the fraternity. However, little is known about his involvement as he has remained silent.

His music career took off after he left college, but his experiences in Skull and Crossbones may have influenced some of his lyrics. His songs often contain themes related to society’s power structures, which could be attributed to his involvement in secretive organizations like this one.

Bob Dylan remains an icon within the music industry and among former members of Skull and Crossbones Fraternity for Short, irrespective of its influence on him personally or musically.

    Coppola, Francis Ford

Film director, producer, and screenwriter Francis Ford Coppola is best known for the Godfather trilogy and Apocalypse Now. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, and grew up in a family of artists.

When Coppola studied film at UCLA, he met George Lucas, who became his friend and collaborator. His filmmaking career took off when he directed The Godfather, which won three Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

He has received numerous awards throughout his career, including the Palme d’Or at Cannes. Coppola has produced several movies, including The Black Stallion and Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

While studying theater arts at Hofstra University, Coppola joined the Skull and Crossbones Fraternity. This secret society’s members come from a variety of fields, including politics, business, and entertainment.

While Coppola was a member of this prestigious fraternity, he never let it define his creative vision. He continued to push boundaries with each new project, making him one of the most celebrated filmmakers in history.

    Beatty, Warren

Actor, director, producer, and screenwriter Warren Beatty was initiated into the Skull and Crossbones Fraternity at Northwestern University.

As a student at Northwestern University in 1959, Beatty was initiated into the Skull and Crossbones Fraternity. The Hollywood actor remains one of the fraternity’s most notable members.

Some members of the Skull and Crossbones Fraternity, for example John Belushi, Hunter S. Thompson, Bob Dylan, Francis Ford Coppola, and Warren Beatty, have become public figures. Despite being affiliated with one of America’s most famous fraternities, these individuals have made significant contributions to their respective fields.
