Finding movers in Los Angeles can feel daunting if you don’t know what you are looking for. There are so many options, how do you know which ones to choose?
Do They Have Good Reviews?
When you search their name, reviews should pop up with they are a legit business. If they don’t, don’t bother continuing to look into them. There is going to be a mix of good and bad reviews like there is with every business. Pay attention that the good reviews significantly outweigh the bad and that the bad are not terrible things. Everybody makes mistakes, it’s how you fix them that matters. If it is clear the business is usually very great to work with, chances are you can trust them.
Are They Licensed And Insured?
Always be sure that the moving company you plan to use is licensed and insured. If they aren’t and something happens, things could go very badly for you very quickly. Also, be sure that they are actually insured and not just claiming to be. They should be able to prove it to you.
Do They Have A Successful Track Record?
Companies that have been in business for a while are easier to trust than new ones because you know they have a good track record that can be easily looked up. That is not to downplay a new moving company though. They too can still have a good track record in a short amount of time. Ask them about their work and see if they seem hesitant to answer about past customer satisfaction.
Are Their Rates Transparent?
Established moving companies will be able to give you a general idea of how much a job will cost. However, this idea will not include extra fees. That is why you should always ask what will constitute an extra fee so you are not blindsided later on. If a business is reluctant to tell you about what constitutes extra fees, don’t work with them.
Are They Easy To Work With
Always meet with the moving company in person before deciding to hire them. They are going to be in charge of your belongings, so you want to be sure you can trust them. If they appear stand-offish or shady in any way, find yourself a different movers.
