The process of building a house requires a person to make many decisions related to the construction of floors, usable space or floor connections. Depending on whether you choose modular stairs or traditional reinforced concrete structures, the course of individual processes of creating our dream home should be designed differently.
Paradoxically, the choice of stairs should be made right at the first decisions related to the spreading of the construction process over time. This is mainly due to the pace of construction of individual structures, at what stages they are implemented and how to approach their finishing.
Modular – why is it worth it?
Reinforced concrete structures in the form of stairs are designed before the stage of bringing the house to the closed shell state. They require the preparation of a frame, which is finished with concrete, and then additionally secured with more aesthetic materials (e.g. lining individual steps with wood). In turn, the finished stairs can be installed at the finishing stage, which allows, among others, wait the right time and find out which structure we can afford and which will work best in a given interior. For this reason, modular stairs are more and more popular.
Types of stairs
We have at our disposal, above all , treatment stairs that are designed with a single treatment to the left or right, usually used at an angle of 90 or 180 degrees. They do not have a landing, and their treatment is designed within the narrowing of individual steps. An alternative for them are spiral stairs – that is, spiral stairs that are installed in the floor and in the ceiling opening. In this case, it is a very small construction, but it is worth remembering that it is also intended for use mainly by able-bodied adults.
Modular stairs are worth choosing when you want to have light wooden stairs at home . They are mostly made of wood or a combination of wood and metal. In fact, wooden stairs are one of the most-chosen ones, as they give the interior lightness, and are also aesthetic and comfortable to use. Of course, you can also choose metal stairs , although these are usually recommended for utility interiors, which are entered in shoes, because in the case of bare feet they will be uncomfortable to use.
