Eat and run: My improbable journey to ultra-marathon greatness is a new 2012 autobiography by the world-record holder Scott Jurek. It was released by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in June of 2012. I was not at all surprised to find that it was another very well written book. Scott Jurek has gone from being an avid runner to an ultra-marathoner. His stories of training and racing in Europe, South America and Hawaii are some of the most gripping and inspirational stories I have read.

메이저사이트 is an easy read with many good ideas on how to train for running long distances, nutrition and overcoming boredom while on the run. Jurek takes us through the Western States Trail and gives excellent advice for a route you can do and complete with no more than four days. The book is easy to read and the chapters are short but quite detailed. Some portions are illustrated for effect.

Being a vegan gave me some difficulty reading at times because there is so much text on vegetables and fruits. My husband, who is an avid runner, noticed and commented at several points. It became quite a project picking and choosing favorite foods and recipes. Eating becomes more of a chore than something fun to do. I enjoy being a vegan and being active as a runner, but after a week I was ready to quit. But I did.

My wife, upon learning of my transition, was overjoyed. She had heard that I was a vegan and already planned on starting one. I told her it was the only choice. She is more than thrilled that I am now a vegan athlete and that I have been accepted into the world-renowned Ultramarathon Championship Series (UMC). She has taken it upon herself to enroll me in the training class for world-class runners.

While I am excited about being a vegan athlete, I will admit that I still have some struggles. At times it is hard to ignore all the cruelty inflicted on animals raised for their meat and milk products. There are also many ethical issues to consider when becoming a vegan. I want to lead by example, so I decided to use this book to help guide my transition into veganism and my running career.

In Eat and Run, author Debra Simmons provides plenty of good information for any athlete. She shares stories from her world-renown ultra marathon runner boyfriend, Mike Shahab. She includes tips on how to get started being a vegan and how to maintain your vegan lifestyle once you’ve completed your run or triathlon. I really liked how she included stories from Mike and other vegans I’ve met. It makes it easier for you to understand what the importance of going vegans means to the athlete. I especially appreciate that she includes recommendations for gear, clothing, and how to get started being a vegan.

What impressed me the most was the simplicity of the Eat and Run book. Although Simmons has a well-dressed, beautiful body, her message is easy to understand and entertaining. It’s no wonder that Eat and Run has become one of the best-selling books in the world, according to the New York Times Bestsellers and New York Magazine Bestsellers lists. You can count on having fun and enjoying the benefits of following the plan to Eat and Run.

Eat and Run by Debra Simmons is truly one-of-a-kind. It provides a woman with an honest and fascinating inside look at what it takes to be a healthy, successful, and truly remarkable athlete. It takes a big topic like weight loss, fitness, and nutrition and makes it simple and enjoyable to read. It also gives women the chance to benefit from one of America’s most beloved pastimes-being an athlete. In short, Eat and Run is the perfect volume for any female athlete who is ready to finally understand what it takes to reach her full potential.
