Disable and Re-enable Bluetooth on the PC

To quickly disable and re-enable the Bluetooth on your device, click on the ‘Action Center’ icon located in the ‘Taskbar or launch ‘Quick Settings’ by pressing Windows + A key on your keyboard. To restart the Bluetooth Support Service, follow the steps below:

  • Press Windows + R key to open the Windows Run command box.
  •  Now in the Run command box, type services. msc and press the Enter key. This will open the Windows Services screen.
  •  The windows services are list in alphabetical order. Now, look out for ‘Bluetooth Support Service’ and double-click on it to launch its properties.
  •  Now in the Bluetooth Support Service Properties window, click on the drop-down arrow in front of the Startup type, and from the drop-down menu that appears, click on the ‘Automatic’ option.
  •  Once you have changed the Startup type to automatic, click the Start button under Service status to start the service.
  •  Once the service starts, click the ‘OK’ button to apply the changes. You can now close the properties and Bluetooth Support Service window.

After restarting Bluetooth Support Service, check whether you can connect your PC via Bluetooth to your device.

Run Bluetooth Troubleshooter

It is good to see that the Windows Built-in troubleshooter also exists in Windows 11 operating system. This Windows Troubleshooter can be use to diagnose and fix many common problems of Windows, including Bluetooth problems.

So whenever you face any issues on your Windows PC, it’s advisable first to run Windows troubleshooter and let it fix the problem for you instead of making any random changes to the PC.

To run the Windows troubleshooter for Bluetooth, follow the steps below:

  • Click on the ‘Windows Start’ icon in the Taskbar or press WINDOWS + X to launch the Quick Access menu, and now select ‘Settings.’ Alternatively, to launch the Settings app press WINDOWS + I key together on your keyboard.
  •  Now on the Windows Settings, click the ‘Troubleshoot’ option on the right panel.
  •  Next, click on ‘Other troubleshooters.’
  •  Now look out for the Bluetooth option, and once located, click on the Run button next to it.
  •  Once the Troubleshooter starts, you must follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.
  •  After the troubleshooting process, Windows will show you the possible cause and the fix to resolve the problem.
