On the flip side, Search Engine Marketing or SEM involves a number of different techniques which combine to help improve the ranking of websites in search engine results pages. The reason behind this is to provide internet users with higher quality results based on their searches. SEM can include pay per click advertising, article marketing, and social media marketing. You can hire various experts who specialize in different aspects of digital marketing to drive traffic to your website. However, it is still important to understand how these techniques work.

Pay per click

On the other hand, pay per click internet marketing works by bidding on a keyword or phrase and hoping that a user will click on your advertisement. By bidding on these keywords, you will pay the search engine optimization company a fee every time a visitor is redirected from their website to yours. In order for your campaign to be successful, you must carefully choose the keywords you will bid on because too general will not bring you any traffic. In addition, too specific will likely drive your visitors away.

Facebook promotion

Another way in which you can effectively use what is called social media to attract customers is by using Google AdWords and Facebook Ads. These advertising platforms enable you to advertise your products to potential customers based on the interests they already have established. For example, if a potential customer is interested in learning more about transcription, he/she may be more likely to purchase a product related to transcription from your website.
